2.11 Digital I/O
Digital inputs can be set to provide many indicator functions, including all keypad functions except MENU. Digital
inputs are active (on) with low voltage (0 VDC), inactive (off) at 5 VDC. Use the DIGIO menu to configure the
digital inputs.
Digital outputs are typically used to control relays that drive other e
quipment. Outputs are designed to sink, rather
than source, switching current. Each output is a normally open collector circuit, capable of sinking 24 mA when
active. Digital outputs are active when low or at 0 VDC, with reference to the 5 VDC supply.
Use the DIO menu to set the function of
the DIO pins to OUTPUT, then use the SETPTS menu to configure the
digital outputs.
Table 2-4 shows the pin assignments for connector J2.

1. Remove the left bottom screw from the backplate as shown in Figure 2-17.
2. Slide the load cell sealing clip over the load cell connector
